Reusing the images
Catalogue text and metadata are released under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. The photographs reproduce objects held by the Dehuai Foundation for Historical Images and are published here with its permission; each image carries the Foundation’s mark, and the mark stays on any copy. Ask before reproducing the images elsewhere. The underlying nineteenth-century photographs are themselves long out of copyright, and posters issued by the United States government are public domain; other wartime items (a magazine cover, a comic book, an advertisement) may still be in copyright and are reproduced here for study.
